16世紀中葉。原可能是指「用雪鞋走路」的習語。可能源自斯堪的納維亞語言。對比冰島語 þrúga (「雪鞋」)、挪威語 truga (「雪鞋」)和瑞典語方言詞trudja (「雪鞋」)。
