thus +‎ -ly,可追溯回19世紀,可能是教育水平高的寫作家為了嘲諷假裝斯文但沒文化的人而造的詞,[1]主要是嘲諷認為thus並非副詞的錯誤觀念。

用法說明[編輯]

雖然thusly已經滲透到了大眾使用中,但一些人可能會認為這是錯誤用詞。其可以使用thusthis way等詞代替。[1]其起源於美國東部,且相比英式英語,在美式英語中更加常見,其「常用來取樂或表達諷刺反語」(「often used for amusement or to make an ironic point」)[2]
