nigga (複數 niggas 或 niggaz)

- 一些非洲裔曾嘗試為這個詞辯白（特別是本變體形式nigga及其變體niggah），但是惹起了爭議，一些人認為由於其歷史陰暗，加之現在仍有貶義使用，這個詞不能夠被辯白。 詳見nigger。
- 本詞的部分變體已經使用良久，包括niggah和nigguh，它們的複數僅用-s後綴（如niggahs等），但現在還常（非正式地）使用視覺方言詞尾-z（niggahz）。近來，nikka和nikkah 等拼寫也開始出現於非正式對話和嘻哈中。有時候，尤其是20世紀中葉的書面記錄中，nigguh常作nigger的南部白人發音的視覺方言形式，而nigga(h)則是代表非洲裔美國人發音的視覺拼寫形式。
- 在無r音英語變體（如多數英國英語口音）中，本詞無法與nigger區分開來。
