20世纪50年代，源自早期形式fuck the dog (“浪费时间”)（1935年）（对比fuck around），后面意思为“犯丢人的错误”（对比screw up、fuck up）。由汤姆·沃尔夫所著的《太空先锋》（1979年）及其电影改编（1983年）普及开来。[1]
