  1. (及物不及物) 通過將所有項目相加求得總和
    We summed up the donations and found that we had just enough to pay the bills.

  2. (及物不及物)總結
    So, to sum up your argument, what you are saying is that it is impossible.
    所以,總結你爭吵的話,你在說這不可能。

使用說明[编辑]

  • 受詞可以放在助詞之前或之後(例如,「we summed the argument up as "think twice"」或「we summed up the argument as "think twice"」;二者在英語中皆合乎英語的語言習慣)。如果受詞是代名詞,則必須放在助詞之前(例如,「we summed it up as "think twice"」合乎語言習慣,但「we summed up it as "think twice"」不合乎語言習慣且語法錯誤)。
