詞源
[编辑]借自新拉丁語 molybdaenum，來自molybdaena (“任何像鉛的物質”)，來自古希臘語 μολύβδαινα (molúbdaina, “鉛墜，一塊鉛”)，來自μόλυβδος (mólubdos, “鉛；石墨”)，來自安那托利亞語族詞彙同源的呂底亞語 𐤪𐤠𐤭𐤦𐤥𐤣𐤠 (mariwda, “黑暗”)，來自原始印歐語 *morkʷ-iyo-，來自詞根*morkʷ- (“暗”)，與英語 murk同源。[1]參見拉丁語 plumbum nigrum (“鉛”)。後綴為 + -um (“化學元素”)。
