[编辑]繼承自白夏基普拉克里特語 [具體何詞?]（對比首羅犀那語 𑀧𑀁𑀔𑀺 (paṃkhi)、𑀧𑀓𑁆𑀔𑀺 (pakkhi)），繼承自梵語 पक्षिन् (pakṣín，字面意思是“有翅膀的”)。
