用法說明[編輯]

  • 現代的一般用法中，指的是奇怪但是仍屬自然範疇內的現象，比如「preternatural talent」。而在宗教或玄學用法中，和supernatural類似，指「超自然的」，但相較於supernatural較為低級 – 其能作它的同義詞，下義詞或同類詞。比如在天主教神學中preternatural用來形容天使一類生物，而supernatural只用來形容神。
