用法

[編輯]

This template may be used in Wiktionary entries to format quotations from Philip Sidney's work The Countess of Pembroke's Arcadia (the Old Arcadia; the New Arcadia, 1590–1593, 2 volumes, and 3rd edition, 1598). It can be used to create a link to online versions of the works at the Internet Archive:

  • The Old Arcadia
  • The New Arcadia
    • 1590–1593 editions (as the 1st editions are not currently available online, the template can be used to link to versions published in 1912 and 1922):
      • Volume I (1st–3rd books; originally published in 1590).
      • Volume II (3rd–5th books; originally published in 1593).
    • 3rd edition (1598).

參數

[編輯]

本模板用了以下參數:

  • |year=mandatory in some cases: if quoting from the 1593 edition of the work, which contains a modified version of the 3rd book together with the 4th and 5th books, or the 3rd edition (1598), specify |year=1593 or |year=1598.
  • |1= or |chapter= – the chapter number quoted from in Arabic numerals (in the 1590 edition), or the name of the chapter (in the 1593 edition; for example, |chapter=The Third Egloges).
  • |song= or |sonnet= – in addition to The Countess of Pembroke's Arcadia, the 3rd edition contains The Defence of Poesie, Astrophel and Stella, and The Lady of May. If quoting from Astrophel and Stella, use |song= and |sonnet= to specify the song or sonnet number in Arabic numerals.
  • |2= or |page=, or |pages=mandatory: the page or range of pages quoted from. If quoting a range of pages, note the following:
    • Separate the first and last page number of the range with an en dash, like this: |pages=110–111.
    • You must also use |pageref= to indicate the page to be linked to (usually the page on which the Wiktionary entry appears).
This parameter must be specified to have the template determine the book or part of the work quoted from, and link to an online version of the work.
  • |3=, |text=, or |passage= – the passage to be quoted.
  • |brackets= – use |brackets=on to surround a quotation with brackets. This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.
