詞源
[编辑]源自 good + riddance (“擺脫或移除的行為;涉及去除某物的解脫”),最初见于a great riddance、a fair riddance[1]或gentle riddance[2]之类的短语。比威廉·莎士比亚更早的使用是在 1597 年 8 月 3 日伯尔勋爵给罗伯特·塞西尔爵士的一封信中,该信出现在与爱尔兰有关的国家文件中第364页——“or in good riddance”。[3]
后期则见于莎士比亚的悲剧作品《特洛伊羅斯與克瑞西達》的第2幕第1场。[4]
