源自晚期拉丁語 apostata,源自古希臘語 ἀποστάτης (apostátēs, 「反叛」),源自ἀφίστημι (aphístēmi, 「脫離,背叛」),源自ἀπό (apó, 「從,自,離」) + ἵστημι (hístēmi, 「站起」)。
