詞源

源自古高地德語 andar halb、anderhalb (字面意思是「第二個半個，下半部分」)。舊時曾使用的分數計數法從高的序數數起，而非從低基數，anderthalb是這一計數法唯一殘留下來的詞。對比古英語 ōþer healf和荷蘭語 anderhalf。anderer已經失去了詞義「第二的」，現在現代德語中僅有「另一的」，「其他的」的意思。
