词源[编辑]
didder的变体,源自中古英語 dideren (“发抖”)。对比中古英語 bididren、bididdren (“诱导,误导”),源自古英語 bedidrian、bedyderian (“诱导,误导”)。
另,可能与*titeren的表达性质的浊化有关,源自原始日耳曼語 *titrōną。若如此,它则是teeter的同源對似詞,同源词有古高地德語 zittarōn(德語 zittern)和古諾爾斯語 titra(法羅語 titra、冰島語 titra)。或者可能是一个无关的叠词拟声词。
