源自中古英語 admonesten、admonissen,源自古法語 amonester(現代法語admonester),源自一不可考的晚期拉丁語或通俗拉丁語詞*admonestrāre,源自拉丁語 admoneō (「提醒,警告」),源自ad + moneō (「警告,忠告」)。見premonition。
