Bot is written to use the Mediawiki API, which is much more effective than the wikipedia pybot framework; it does use the framework module for language links, to stay up with changes in wikt policies (that are included there, some are not!).

It's primary function is to keep all the en.wikt links up to date, here it will be adding reciprocal links to the en.wikt when a link is added there; it is generally a good idea to keep these symmetrical. This is part of a project to develop interwiki code specifically for the wiktionaries. It also adds any other valid links it has found and removes any known to be invalid.

There are two functions: one builds an index of all of the wikts (without reading any pages, it uses the MW API to read the indexes), and then checks every en.wikt entry to correct the iwikis (again, without reading any pages except the ones being changed). While doing this, if it adds a link to another wikt, it will add the corresponding link there (here). The other function follows "recent changes" on all of the wikts, and adds needed links to the en.wikt, and likewise the corresponding link. While en.wikt policy is to link to redirects, in no case does Interwicket add links from another wikt to a redirect in the en.wikt.

  1. 原則上所有單個字元（佔有Unicode一個碼位）的詞條都可以加入該模板，包括但不限於CJK表意字符、各文字的字母、特殊符號等等。
  2. 中文維基詞典還缺少很多其他文字字的頁面，獲得機器人權限後可以快速創建詞條將他們有系統地補全。
  3. 關於「分類」，我的想法是希望重新為一些詞條做分類。例如precociously一字，其現有的分類包括Category:英語、Category:拉丁文字，而該詞在英語維基詞典的分類則是en:Category:English lemmas、en:Category:English adverbs和en:Category:English words suffixed with -ly。前兩個分類在中文詞典中也有對應頁面，但可以看見其包含的頁面非常少，顯示中文維基詞典的分類法有很大的缺失。我希望在獲得機器人權限後可以協助改善這個問題，然而這部分只是構想，暫時沒有明確的執行方法。—TongcyDai ฅ • ω • ฅ 2019年10月31日 (四) 14:02 (UTC)

關於第3點，個人認為單靠機器人添加分類可能無法完成。像前述的分類中，en:Category:English lemmas、en:Category:English adverbs這類詞性分類，在enwikt是靠header模板完成（如{{head}}、{{en-noun}}），而en:Category:English words suffixed with -ly這種則由{{suffix}}、{{affix}}、{{compound}}等模板實現；還有主題分類模板{{label}}等等。enwikt上多樣分類的添加基本上是模組套模板的形式才能呈現，而不是僅僅手動/自動添加（比如，現在已經基本不會看到enwikt的詞條底部堆了一大堆category）。個人感覺完善分類還是更應當依靠模組和模板。--Sayonzei（讨论） 2019年11月2日 (六) 07:45 (UTC)

祝你好运。根据我的经验，如果是通用的模板如IPA，需要找到对应章节，我不太清楚mwparserfromhell能否做到。但wikitextparser（凑合着用）和mwparserfromhell都不能令我满意，Kanashimi的wikitext_parser似乎可以显示元素在wikitext中的index，不过是javascript。而且还涉及展开h2系标题模板，当然可以用我的代码。

@Xiplus：会检测如果两边的模板数不一致，比如zh这边有1个，en那边有2个，就会跳过这个页面同时记下这个页面和两边的模板的参数，后面输出出来给人工检查。其他情况下直接覆盖。因为一致的话基本上可以两边确定用法一样。这个将来用来同步更新英语那边新版本的模板很有用，比如我准备要更新Template:es-verb-auto的参数，同时替换掉更旧的Template:es-verb就要用到这个脚本。如果更新完之后出现脚本错误，我会根据Category:有脚本错误的页面查看是什么原因。--Hzy980512（讨论） 2021年4月27日 (二) 07:43 (UTC)
