詞源[編輯]
源自拉丁語 verbōsus (「冗長的，長篇大論的，囉嗦的」) + 英語 -ose (指「滿是...、像...」的後綴)。verbōsus派生自verbum (「詞語」)（最終源自原始印歐語 *werh₁- (「說」)）+ -ōsus (指「滿是...、過於...、傾向於...」的後綴，用於從名詞構成形容詞)。[1]。等價於verb + -ose。
