借自德语 Panentheismus，1828年由卡尔·克里斯蒂安·弗里德里希·克劳泽所创造，借用古希腊语 πᾶν ἐν θεῷ (pân en theôi, “所有的神”)加上 +‎ -ismus (“表示主义的后缀”)而成。
