词源 1[编辑]

源自glore的一个（可能是苏格兰语的）变体，源自中古英语 glōren、glouren (“照耀；瞪着”)[1]，或原子glow (“盯着”, 弃用)，最终源自某斯堪的纳维亚（北日耳曼语支）语言。[2]同源词有低地德语 gloren (“闪烁；发微光”)、中古荷兰语 gloren、冰岛语 glóra[1]。还见glare。
